The Participant Services Department represents a direct link to your Writers' Guild-Industry Health Fund. The Department is available during normal office hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Participants who have questions about Fund coverage, levels of benefits, eligibility or other details can call (818) 846-1015.
Remember, the Pension Plan and Health Fund are separate and distinct legal entities from the Writers Guild of America. Plan and Fund rules for participation, eligibility for benefits, levels of benefits and administration of the Plan and Fund are established under authority of the Boards of Directors/Trustees of the Plan and Fund which consist of an equal number of representatives of the Writers Guild of America, (East and West) and signatory employers, including the television networks and AMPTP Companies. Writers Guild representatives are appointed by the Executive Board of the WGA, West and the Executive Council of the WGA, East.
Any interpretations or opinions given by employees of the Administrative Office or the WGA, should be regarded as well-meant but not official and are not binding upon the Directors/Trustees, and cannot enlarge or change any benefits or rules for participation or eligibility. To be official, such information must be communicated to you, in writing, and signed on behalf of the full Board of Directors or Trustees, or appropriate Committee.
