New Media includes all writing for the Internet and mobile devices as well as any new devices using these technologies as they evolve, or any other platform thought of as “new media” by the industry as of the start of the 2008 MBA, which was February 13, 2008.

To hire a WGA-represented writer for a new media project, the company employing or acquiring literary material from a writer must be signatory to the WGA Agreement. If you are a company, not yet signatory, then you will need to become a WGA Signatory Company in order to hire professional writers for your New Media projects.
