2011 Writers Guild Awards – Call For Press Credentials


The Writers Guild of America, West will host its 2011 Writers Guild Awards West Coast ceremony at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel-Grand Ballroom on Saturday, 2/5/11 to honor outstanding achievement in writing during 2010 in film, television, videogames, new media, and other awards categories. In addition, the WGAW will present several honorary and service awards, including Screen and Television Laurel Awards for lifetime achievement in writing. This year’s Writers Guild Awards L.A. show will be co-hosted by Modern Family stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Eric Stonestreet and executive produced by Spike Jones, Jr.



3:30 p.m. Press Check-In / Set-Up (*Both Red-Carpet & Press Room Areas)
 4:00 – 4:45 p.m.  Red-Carpet Arrivals (*Pre-Show – Tented Area @ Hall Entrance)
 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.  Awards Ceremony (*Press Room @ Rear Venue Entrance)
 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.  Awards Post-Show Dinner (*Approved VIP Dinner Press Only)

The 2011 Writers Guild Awards will be hosted at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York City at the AXA Equitable Center. (*For more information and/or press credentials for the NYC WGA show, please contact WGAE press rep Sherry Goldman at: 718-224-4133 or email: Sherry Goldman.)

*While B-roll footage will not be provided by WGAW to media, select ENG crews/still photographers will be permitted to shoot inside venue from 4-4:45 p.m. only during pre-show cocktail reception with pre-approved clearance. Media will be able to access a live video/audio feed during awards show in press room. (*Please note that WGA awards show clip use for media rebroadcast is limited to 10 minutes in length.)
