Soo-Hyun Chung – 2014 Feature Access Project Honoree  

Soo-Hyun Chung (Faith) was born in Seoul, Korea. She is a Film Independent Screenwriters Lab Fellow, an Armed with a Camera Fellow, and an A3 Foundation finalist. For 10 years, she was a senior writer/director in the MTV On Air Promos department, where her work won her a Creativity Gold. While still a student at NYU, she wrote the lead piece for the Village Voice’s “Rock and Roll Quarterly” about her experience as a Korean female on tour with Ice-T. She also worked in publicity for Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson, while writing for magazines such as Mixmag, Surface, Big, and more. Currently, she is finishing her first short, If You Lived Here You’d Be Home Already, which will premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.

Currently, she is finishing her first short, "If You Lived Here You’d Be Home Already," which is premiering at the 2014 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. She recently directed Detroit by Lisa D’Amour, part of an experimental theater initiative to put on plays in backyards and other untraditional spaces around Los Angeles.She also blogs about her experiences as a Lyft driver: talesfromthelyft.wordpress.com.
