Ariella Blejer & Dawn Kamoche
Ariella Blejer has always loved television. When she was growing up, she was so obsessed with TV that her father built “The Box,” a lockbox for the TV plug, so that Ariella would do her homework instead of watching TV after school. However, she eventually thwarted "The Box," with determination, ingenuity, and a hammer. Ariella graduated from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in film and television production, focusing in writing and directing. After graduation, she participated in the National Hispanic Media Coalition Writer’s Program. In her first life as a prospective scientist, Ariella received her BA in human biology from Stanford University and her MS in virology from the University of Pennsylvania. She also worked on one of the first HIV vaccine trials at the NIH. Ariella recently worked on Containment (CW) with her writing partner Dawn Kamoche. They are currently Story Editors on Amazon’s Hand of God.
Dawn Kamoche is an award-winning writer-director from Buffalo, New York. In 2007, she graduated cum laude from Cornell University with a dual degree in Film Studies and Africana Studies. Dawn crafted her storytelling skills at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. A lover of history, music, and dance, Dawn is often inspired by her Kenyan heritage to incorporate pan-Africanist themes into her work. Dawn's short film, Daughter of Fortune, was a finalist for the DGA Student Awards (2013). Dawn recently worked on Containment (CW) with her writing partner Ariella Blejer. They are currently Story Editors on Amazon’s Hand of God.
