Adrian Alejandro Cruz, born to a Puerto Rican father and Scottish mother, lived all over the world before graduating from USC with dual degrees in Film and Theater. Cutting his teeth in L.A. theater scene as director, Adrian began working in the comic book industry first as an editor then writing his graphic novel series Seed. Adrian went on to write and produce Splinter, starring Edward James Olmos before he, and his then writing partner, sold pilots to FOX, WB, NBC, ABC and USA before creating Ascension for the Syfy Network. He was a semi-finalist for the Nicholl's fellowship with his script Alibi Guys, went through the WGAW's acclaimed Showrunner Training Program and was featured on the 2015 Young and Hungry List. He recently produced and directed the indie film Eat Me.
