WGF: Young Storytellers Volunteer Info Session

The International Documentary Association's (IDA) launches its free annual Documentary Screening Series on Wednesday, September 13 with Strong Island. Running through mid-November, the series presents some of the year's best documentary films to guild members, IDA members, and the general public. A Q&A with filmmakers follows each screening. Scenes must specifically be about gay, lesbian, bisexual and/or transgender characters -- not simply include one. The committee will cast and produce; the writer will direct his or her scene. Selections will be based on quality and castability. We look forward to receiving your scenes!

Save the Date! Creating Content for the Burgeoning International Market

Reprising last year's "International TV Series Market: The Box is Bigger," this one-day, two-part event starts with morning panel of streamers (anticipated: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu representatives) and cable broadcasters who are producing and distributing programming for the global market. Afternoon session will be composed of salon-style breakout groups where WGA writers meet producers and companies active in the international arena. More details to come.
