|City of Los Angeles Business Tax
LOS ANGELES -- The Guild has been advised that the City of Los Angeles has mailed business tax billing letters to 150,000 Los Angeles residents. Guild representatives are in the final stage of discussions with the City. We anticipate we will have more specific information about filing guidelines approved by the City to send to the membership in mid-December. If you do not receive our communication at that time, call the Public Affairs Department's tax information phone line at (323) 782-4560 for any further updates. If you have specific questions, call the Public Affairs Department at (323) 782-4574. Please note, due to the large number of calls, it may be several days before we are able to return your call. Inquiries seeking personal tax advice should be directed to your CPA, attorney or other tax advisor. If there is no deadline in the letter you have received you may ask your tax advisor if you should wait for the forthcoming guidelines before completing the form letter.
