New City of Los Angeles Business Tax Hotline
LOS ANGELES -- The City of Los Angeles’ Office of Finance has established a new phone hotline to address WGAw member concerns regarding the L.A. business tax exemption as it affects writers and other creative artists.
If you have questions regarding the creative artist exemption, including how to file for a business-tax exemption, please contact the City of Los Angeles’ business tax hotline at (213) 473-5901.
Members may also access a FAQ drafted by the City in conjunction with the Guild that details various business tax issues, including the tax-exemption submission process, by visiting the City of Los Angeles’ website at the following link:
