Raised by two incredibly supportive Chinese immigrant parents, Vivian Lee was hell-bent on becoming a psychiatrist. However, fate dealt Lee a cruel hand during freshman year at Indiana University in Bloomington an F in Quantum Physics. So Lee turned her fascination with the human psyche into screenwriting. She transferred to the University of Colorado in Boulder and graduated with a B.F.A. in film studies and a B.A, in Journalism.
After working as a creative services assistant at the WB affiliate in San Diego, Lee moved to Burbank to become a NBC page. From there, she worked on various TV shows, until landing a gig as a script coordinator on the CBS drama Ghost Whisperer. In the show's fourth season, she co-wrote the episode that killed the hunky husband lead and was absolutely delighted by the hate mail she received after its airing. In 2008, she was accepted into NBC's Writers on the Verge program. Since then, Lee has sold two ABC Family MOWs (one of which Christmas Bounty is in pre-production), co-wrote the video game Dead To Rights: Retributions, and was the staff writer on the CBS drama Chaos. Lee also co-writes various online animation projects, including Mr. Chan: Misunderstood Man and BFC (Big F*ckin' Chicken).
