Torian Hughes came to television writing from a successful career as a stand-up comic. He started as a WGA intern on the sketch show Mad TV, and was promoted to Staff Writer in the middle of his first season. He subsequently went on to write for Malcolm and Eddie, Ladies Man, Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Eve. While still active in stand-up, Torian continues to write television, most recently serving this past season on the staff of Tyler Perry's House Of Payne. Born and raised in the south, his travels -- work-related and otherwise -- have taken him to over 270 cities in 10 countries. He's an avid science fiction enthusiast and a lifelong comic book fanatic.
