Anthony Sparks

Anthony is a television writer-producer, born and raised on Chicago’s South Side.

Television: Just concluded four seasons on critically acclaimed drama Lincoln Heights (ABC Family), working his way up from staff writer to producer. Anthony was also a staff writer and wrote multiple episodes on the cop drama The District (CBS) and has also written for videogames.

Awards: Lincoln Heights (2008 – nomination, Image Award, Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series; 2009 & 2008 – winner, Sentinel Awards from the Norman Lear Center).

Theatre: Anthony is a produced playwright whose work has been featured in American Theatre magazine. He is also a published essayist.

Actor: Anthony was the comedic lead in the hit theatre show, STOMP, in New York for five years.

Education: USC - B.F.A., M.A., and Ph.D (forthcoming) degrees.

Life/Misc.: Married to the daughter of a U.S. Army General; father to an awesome daughter and toddler twin boys who had the audacity to be born on the day the writer's strike started.
