Heather Mitchell
Women Writers

A native New Yorker, Heather started her career as a journalist, editing newspaper columns and comic strips including Dilbert and Peanuts for United Feature Syndicate. Since moving west to make things up for a living, she has written children’s books, animation series, English-language telenovelas and reality shows ranging from the Style Network’s Diary of an Affair to the Food Network’s Ace of Cakes. A stint in the 2008 Warner Bros. Writers’ Workshop led to a staff writer slot on CBS’s Eleventh Hour, where she wrote three episodes, including the episode “Agro,” which was briefly considered as a replacement pilot. When Eleventh Hour was canceled in 2009, Heather moved to CBS’s Medium, where she has written three more episodes, most recently March 13th’s “Alison Rolen Got Married.”
