Motorcyclist, martial artist and rugby player, Miranda is dedicated to tackling any challenge that presents itself – from jumping out of a plane to counseling at a crisis center to backpacking across China in search of a lost bloodline. After completing an Honors BA in Philosophy and Psychology, Miranda earned a full scholarship at The Los Angeles Film School. She was also selected to participate as an honoree at Film Independent’s Project: Involve and the CBS Diversity Program. With her first screenplay, "Song of Silence," Miranda won the top prize in the highly competitive Slamdance Screenplay Competition. With her first spec script, Miranda landed a highly coveted position as a Staff Writer on the first season of "Spartacus: Blood & Sand" where she also wrote two pivotal episodes, “Shadow Games” and “Party Favors.” Shortly after, she was scooped up as a Story Editor on "Sanctuary" where she was able to further stretch her creative muscle.
