Adam Rodman
55 & Older Writers

I come from a long line of people without a lick of common sense. My father was a writer, my mother was an actress, and my brother is a writer. For better or worse, I, too, have made my living pushing words. Though much of my career has been spent writing features, my most satisfying writing experiences have occurred when I was working on television/cable series. More and more, it has become clear to me that small, character-oriented dramas – the kind of material that I best enjoy writing – are now largely the provenance of television. With the explosion of new outlets, and the concomitant freedom to innovate, I believe we are in the midst of a golden age for writers, one in which I very much want to participate to the full extent of my abilities.
