Guild Wins Late Pay Interest From Disney

Guild secures largest interest-only settlement in its history.

The WGAW’s legal team recently reached a $5.25 million settlement with Disney for interest owed on late paid residuals for five Fox animated series: The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, The Cleveland Show, and Futurama. Dr. Daniela Lamas is a pulmonary and critical care specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston; in her other life, she is a writer. Her book You Can Stop Humming Now: A Doctor’s Stories of Life, Death, and in Between was published in 2018.
