COMEDY/55 AND OVER

Steve Westren is a renowned comedy writer. (Okay, “renowned” might be pushing it…) He’s co-creator of the hit Comedy Network series Puppets Who Kill and was executive story editor on many award-winning shows such as Almost Naked Animals and Game On starring Samantha Bee. He’s been a writer or story editor on dozens of other TV series, including the Emmy-nominated stop-motion hit Norman Picklestripes. He wrote two very successful TV features, The Last Casino and Fakers; he’s won two Gemini Awards for best writing, was nominated for six more, and has five Canadian Screenwriting Award nominations; and he wrote, directed and produced The Man In My Microwave, winner of several awards at major American film festivals.

Before embarking on his writing career Steve was half of the very popular comedy juggling team Circus Shmirkus and was beyond thrilled to be a background puppeteer on two major Muppet TV specials.
