The Legal Services Department: Enforcement Continues Remotely Dashboard Dashboard

Even though we‘re now working remotely, the Legal Services Department continues to enforce the MBA, pursuing claims for violations of the contract.

Our aggressive pursuit of late pay continues in this period. Working with the Agency Department and franchised agencies, we are filing claims when writers are not paid on time, as well as following up on writer reports. Recent settlements for interest on late pay include several $10,000+ payments directly to writers. If you have a late pay or compensation issue of your own, please contact us here.

We are continuing to process checks and get money to writers when settlements are reached on legal claims. Following social distancing protocols, a skeleton crew is helping to process incoming checks from companies and mailing them out.
