Dear Members,

The Guild’s website has launched multiple upgrades to its member account section, myWGA, that are designed to improve account security and user experience.

Members can now grant account access to selected parts of their myWGA to third parties—managers, agents, attorneys, assistants, or others—without sharing their private login credentials. Designees can create their own myWGA login and will only be able to view and edit what you, the account holder, select. Access may be granted to: myWGA (contact info, member attributes, residuals payees, your contracts), Dues, Residuals, WGA Platform, and Start Button. Those reps who will have access to multiple clients’ myWGA accounts can use the new “Switch Accounts” feature (located on the updated Member Dashboard, accessible via the blue arrow button on the top right of the site below the search box). Visit the Manage Permissions page to invite your designee to create a login.

Account security has also been enhanced to include email notifications and email verification when a login attempt is made from a new device or location. These options can be managed from the Change Account Security page. Additional login and security options can be found on the new Login & Security page.

Other myWGA updates include a new:

  • myWGA homepage, where account functions have been reorganized and grouped to be more intuitive and convenient;
  • Contact Information page to manage your email and mailing addresses, phone numbers, email subscriptions, and residual payees
  • Your Contracts page that will display the last two years of your contracts and provide the means to request a copy, report an issue, or upload new contracts;
  • Member Attributes page with expanded options for ethnicity, language, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity (this data will reflect in your WGA Platform profile found via the Find-A-Writer search if you select “OK to Publish”);
  • Dues & Earnings page with a link to your most recent dues statement;
  • Form that lists non-declared quarters and allows you to declare earnings for prior quarters;
  • New media earnings declaration category.

Additionally, a complete overhaul of the Dues Online system is in the works.

Visit the new myWGA now, or look for the blue myWGA ACCOUNT button on the top right of WGA.org when logged out, or click on your name on the top right of the site when logged in.

For technical help, contact Online Services. If you have questions regarding your membership status, contact the Membership Department. For questions about dues and declaring earnings, contact the Dues Department.
