Jessie Gaskell was a late-night writer for Conan for 7 years, where she got to travel the world for Conan Without Borders. She also hosts Inside Conan: An Important Hollywood Podcast. Jessie’s other writing credits include Hello Ross, Deon Cole’s Black Box, The Dish, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and punch-up on two Netflix films. Jessie also co-created, wrote, and starred in the web series Dorm Life, which was acquired by Hulu, and seen by a handful of very cool teens.

As a State Department kid, Jessie spent her childhood moving around Latin America. She later studied political science at UCLA and wrote policy briefs for a D.C. think tank until her improv team convinced her to pursue her comedy dreams. Thanks, guys! Jessie loves traveling, hiking, sewing her own clothes, and threatening to give it all up and move to the desert.

A naïve millennial with a penchant for rom-coms becomes the target of a catfishing scheme. When she flies to Casablanca to meet a too-good-to-be-true Bumble match, she quickly learns that things aren’t as they seem…and then those things also aren’t as they seem. It’s The Mindy Project meets Homeland, and yes, it’s as crazy as it sounds.
